back to the future
Back To The Future is a case studyon how a single food alternative could have fundamental impact on a country’s
landscape and agriculture. The scenario is based on the most common Dutch produce, the potato plant, replaced by the
lotus flower. As a plant, lotus is very easily spread and pollution and weather resilient. It has the same nutritional value as a potato, but can grow in water and is easily visible because of its vivid colors. Thus, the suggested scenario has both environmental and social impact, showcasing the change in Dutch urbanism.
